Chet Spriggs had operated his successful Tattoo business in a leased space in downtown Moose Jaw. When the opportunity came up to purchase a vacant lot on Main Street, he purchased the lot immediately. He then contacted Cardinal Construction with a sketch of a building façade he intended to have constructed on that site. Chet knew the importance of integrating the new building into downtown Moose Jaw’s heritage richness. His design was a modern representation of a traditional building of the era. We worked with Chet to develop his sketch into a blueprint for a building and create floor plans for his growing business. The resulting building was well received with Moose Jaw’s heritage community and won the prestigious Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Heritage Architecture Excellence Award for Sympathetic New Construction.
